HDR Photography V Traditional Photography & Automotive Dealerships January 17th 2016 @ 4:23pm

We would like to encourage the CEO’s, DP’s and sales managers working within the automotive industries to consider using our HDR photography to add punch to their dealership images. We hope you will be kind enough to take a look at this report and take a few moments to view our example gallery through the link at the bottom of this post.

HDR photography is a photographic technology that involves the taking of multiple high resolution digital images of the same scene using different exposures but with minimal or no artificial lighting. Powerful HDR editing software is then used to combine these photographic images to produce just one dynamic HDR photograph. Finally, post production ensures colour, clarity and tone balance is achieved.

Unlike normal photographic images, each HDR photograph provides an enhanced level of detail including all of the light & dark tones, enhanced colour range normally lost under traditional photographic methods and detail. The key to producing a successful HDR photograph is having an in-depth understanding of lighting, exposure colour and its practical application on various formats. Many of the Wallgo staff served their apprenticeships within the colour proofing and print industries and thus, are well placed to produce perfect HDR photographs.

Wallgo has made extensive use of HDR photography for clients who require extreme detail and clarity with a view to enhancing their ‘brand’ to a much higher level.  It does not matter how great your product is, without premium ‘brand’ awareness it could fall short on expectations. Clever ‘brand’ acceptance is achieved through repetition of quality imaging. HDR photography can achieve this.

Our HDR clients include developers, architects and commercial organisations that require detailed ‘reference’ images for close up progress inspection work. In addition, creative and sales organisations requiring extreme clarity combined with quality and desirability are now looking to Wallgo for our HDR photographic services.

We have found that our HDR photography has found favour with some of the UK’s leading automotive dealerships. Indeed, attitudes are now changing and where as in times gone by when developers tended to use mobile phones or poor quality photography to record the construction progress of a dealership, they are now looking to Wallgo and our HDR imaging to capture both the construction and completion images.

We have provided a gallery showing the direct comparisons between traditional photography and the HDR equivalents shots.

Other key benefits to using our HDR photography are the health and safety considerations and almost no interruption to our client’s working day. Under traditional photographic methods, if we were to try and capture similar clarity, colour depth and detail that our HDR photography can, we would need to haul a lot of photographic equipment and lighting rigs to our client’s showrooms and properties. This could be a sever concern to clients who have extremely expensive vehicles on show or causing interruption to their viewing clients.

With our HDR photography we simply arrive at your premises with just a HiDef camera and tripod, that’s it! No lighting rigs, no teams of people or trailing electrical wires, just one man and a camera!
